How does the Missouri Points System work?  Depending on the severity of the offense and your prior driving record, even a speeding ticket could result in administrative license suspension.

Missouri uses a points system — accumulate too many points and

your license can become suspended from 30 days to 1 year.

Why Not Just Pay The Ticket?

8 points in 18 months will result in a 30-day suspension

8 points in 18 months, the 2nd offense = 60 day suspension

And a 3rd offense = 90 day suspension

12 points in a 12-month period will trigger a 1-year revocation - as will:

18 points in a 24-month period or 24 points in a 36-month period

Don’t Plead Guilty!

Paying the fine (which means pleading guilty) could also raise your insurance rates. Also, pleading NO CONTEST is the same as pleading guilty. Certain offenses can leave you with a misdemeanor criminal record compromising employment opportunities.

We also work hard to determine if our clients can qualify for a Limited Driving Privilege (Hardship License) if their license has been suspended for having too many point violations.

DWI or DUI charges can also cause major points-related problems even leading to 5 or 10 year driver’s license revocation periods.

At Traffic Law Central, our goal is to KEEP POINTS OFF of our client’s driving records by having their charges amended or diverted to zero-point, non-moving violations.   Get your FREE Quote Now
